Bakima Imani of Sambesi Waters
dod 10.08.2007
We are shocked and eternally sad over the loss of our girl Bakima. After a short but very intense battle she died of cancer on Friday. Farewell, my sunshine with those funny ears, you'll live on forever in my heart...

We got Bakima at 9 weeks from southern Germany. She grew up to be a very secure, yet sensitive and extremely friendly female, easily adapting to new situations and always wanting to learn someting new.
Bakima always was our sunshine. Her tail just never stopped wagging and she just loved everyone and everything. Not being the typical ridgeback, she greeted our visitors with big enthusiasm and kisses and wanted to be cuddled by everyone.
Bakima was a fast learner and enjoyed to take on new tasks, e.g. tracking, lure coursing and always wanted to work for her food on our regular walks.
She had a keen passion for hunting which kept us busy on our walks in the fields.
During daytime she loved to spend some time for herself on a sunny spot on our farm or laying around in the parking car, her favorite place.
In 2004, Bakima gave birth to 8 healthy and beautiful puppies sired by CH Rolling's Jungle Baloo (Imp. USA) and thus became our foundation bitch. From this litter, Amboni stayed with us.
